Download the language-app price dataset
The whole dataset behind this site is downloadable: every app record and every plan row, with its source URL and read date. It exists so that researchers, journalists and other publishers can check the figures rather than take them on trust.

What the files contain
/language-app-prices.csv holds one row per app per published plan: app, plan name, tier, billing period, term in months, price, currency, price per month, what the plan covers, whether the price was published, the source URL and the read date.
/api/v1/latest.json holds the same plan rows plus the app records: languages offered, free tier, platforms, offline mode, speech recognition, live tutoring, placement test, refund or trial policy, company, country and founding year, and the affiliate programme facts. The unversioned alias /api/latest.json always points at the current major version.
/api/v1/health.json reports the dataset's generated date and whether it is current or stale against the ninety-day read window. Check it before treating a saved copy as current. /openapi.json describes these routes.
Licence
The prices, feature facts and language lists are facts read from vendors' public pages and are not owned by this site; you may reuse them freely. The compilation, the normalised fields such as price per month, and the read-date provenance are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0): reuse, redistribute and build on them, with attribution.
The written comparison pages, verdicts and guides remain the copyright of the operator and are not covered by the data licence.
How to cite
Name the site, the figure's read date, and the page or file it came from, for example: "Babbel 12-month plan, $8.95 per month at annual billing, read 2026-09-06, whichlanguageapp.com/language-app-prices.csv". A link to the page is appreciated but not required.
Because every row carries its own read date, quote that date rather than the day you downloaded the file: the two can differ by weeks.
API terms
The JSON and CSV are static files served from a cache. There is no key, no rate limit and no usage tracking beyond ordinary server logs; an optional ?client= query parameter lets a polite consumer identify itself in those logs. Please cache responses for at least an hour; the underlying data changes at most a few times a month.
The v1 shape will not change in a breaking way. Fields may be added. A v2 would ship at /api/v2/ with at least ninety days of overlap, announced on this page.
