How a Jiveworld lesson works

What you do
Pick a story and study it a chapter at a time: listen with as much help as you need (slower speed, the words shown as they are spoken, a translation, notes on vocabulary and accents), then hear the chapter again straight through at full speed before you move on.
What comes back
Nothing is marked: you listen, and a Soundbite reveals its answer for you to check yourself. No person checks your work.
Not included
A live teacher or stated CEFR levels.

How a lesson works in an immersion app

In an immersion app you watch or read real content with subtitles, tap a word you do not know, and it is saved for review. Drawn to explain the kind of app, not taken from any app's screens.

Plans and prices

Every consumer plan on Jiveworld's own pricing page or app-store listing, in US dollars unless marked. Per month is the plan price divided by its term. Where the seller shows a crossed-out price beside the one it charges, the figure is the one it charges, and the plan's note gives the crossed-out price.

What it is Immersion (video, audio, reading). Listening practice for intermediate and advanced learners, built on real radio stories: Jiveworld Español uses Radio Ambulante's stories from across Latin America, told by the people who lived them, at natural speed. Each story is split into chapters of 2 to 4 minutes; you study a chapter with help (slower playback, a transcript you reveal word by word, vocabulary, translations and notes on culture and accents), then listen to it again straight through without help. Soundbites are short challenges built on an excerpt. It teaches no grammar or beginner vocabulary. Jiveworld English, built the same way on American radio and podcast stories, is for Spanish and Portuguese speakers.
