How to cancel Babbel
Turn off auto-renewal where you bought Babbel: on babbel.com under Account Information, or in Google Play or your iPhone's subscriptions, at least 48 hours before it renews. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. You keep every course until the paid period ends.
Where did you subscribe?
On babbel.com (bought from Babbel)
- Go to babbel.com and log in to your account.
- Click the profile icon in the top right corner and choose Profile and settings.
- Open Account Information.
- Choose the subscription and click Cancel auto-renewal.
If there is no Cancel auto-renewal button, the subscription will not renew, and Account Information shows the date it ends.
In Google Play (bought on Android)
- Open the Google Play Store and tap the profile icon in the top right corner.
- Choose Payment and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Babbel and tap Cancel subscription.
In your iPhone's or iPad's settings (bought in the App Store)
- Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Babbel and confirm the cancellation.
After you cancel
- You keep access to all your courses until the subscription expires: you can learn for the whole time you have paid for.
- Babbel's help page says you can cancel up to the day before the renewal date, but its terms ask for 48 hours' notice, so cancel at least two days ahead; Account Information shows when your subscription renews or ends.
- Not sure where you bought it? Account Information or your original invoice says.
Getting money back
- Bought directly from Babbel, outside the US: Babbel's terms give a 14-day right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, where it applies; using the service during those days can reduce what you get back.
- In the US: Babbel's terms do not promise a refund for the rest of a period when you cancel.
- Bought in the App Store or Google Play: the store's terms apply. Apple takes requests at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play takes them under its own refund policies.
