How to cancel Lingoda
Log in to Lingoda, click your name, choose Account settings, then Subscriptions, and click Cancel under your course; rate your learning, finish, and watch for the confirmation email, because without it the cancellation did not go through. Your account runs to the end of the billing month. Lingoda refunds a plan cancelled within 14 days of subscribing, minus the classes taken; a Sprint can be cancelled only in its first 14 days.
Cancelling on the website
On the Lingoda website
- Log in to your Lingoda account.
- Click your name in the top-right corner and select Account settings.
- Go to Subscriptions on the left side.
- Click Cancel under your course details, then Continue to cancel.
- Choose a rating for your learning journey (the button stays grey until you do), add any feedback, and click Cancel when asked.
Lingoda emails a confirmation. If no email arrives, the cancellation was not successful: try again, or contact Lingoda.
The free trial, a Sprint, and taking a break
During the 7-day free trial
Cancel within the 7 days and the trial does not roll into a monthly plan, so nothing is charged.
A Lingoda Sprint
A Sprint can be cancelled only in the first 14 days after you created your account. The rolling subscription that starts when the Sprint ends can be cancelled only in its second month.
A pause or fewer classes
You can pause your account for up to 4 weeks, once per billing cycle, or move to a plan with fewer classes from the start of the next cycle.
After you cancel
- No further payments are taken.
- Your account runs to the end of the billing month; a banner at the top of the page counts down the days.
- After that you can't book or attend classes or open Lingoda's learning materials, and classes booked for later dates are cancelled.
- Your progress is saved, so you can start where you left off if you come back.
Getting money back
- Lingoda's money-back guarantee: cancel within 14 days of subscribing and get a refund, minus any classes taken.
- A Sprint's down payment, or any money paid for it, is refunded only if you cancel within 14 days of signing up.
- Unused class credits stay visible in your account but can't be used after your last payment cycle ends; they come back if you renew.
