How to cancel Speak
Cancel Speak where you paid: in your iPhone's subscriptions, in Google Play, or, for a membership bought on the Speak website, in the Speak app under Profile, Settings, Manage Membership. You keep Speak until the current period ends. Cancelling is not a refund: ask for one separately, within 7 days of paying on the web or in Google Play.
Where did you subscribe?
In your iPhone's or iPad's settings (paid in the App Store)
- Open the Settings app and tap your Apple ID at the top.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Find and select Speak under Active Subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen.
Moved from iPhone to Android? Cancel on Apple's subscription support website.
In Google Play (paid on Android)
- Open the Google Play Store and tap the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find and select Speak among your active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen.

In the Speak app (paid on the Speak website)
- Open the Speak app and tap Profile.
- Select Settings, then Manage Membership.
- Select Cancel Membership.
- Tap Cancel Subscription to confirm.
Speak asks you not to contact Paddle, its payment company, to cancel; its support team helps if you are stuck.
After you cancel
- Your membership will not renew, and you can keep using Speak until the current period ends.
- Cancelling does not refund anything: a refund is a separate request.
Getting money back
- Paid on the Speak website or in Google Play: Speak gives a full refund within 7 days of the purchase. After 30 days from the payment it gives none; for the days between, its page names no rule, so ask its support team.
- Paid on the website through Paddle, within 7 days: ask Paddle at paddle.net (Look up my purchase, then Get help, then Refund and cancel subscription). Paid through Stripe or Link: email Speak's support team.
- Paid in Google Play: ask Google first; if Google refuses, send Speak's support team Google's email with your order number (it starts with GPA).
- Paid in the App Store: only Apple can refund it.
Questions people ask
Does cancelling Speak give me a refund?
No. Speak says cancelling only stops the next renewal; you keep the membership until the period ends. A refund is a separate request: within 7 days of paying on the Speak website or in Google Play, Speak refunds in full.
How do I cancel Speak on my iPhone?
