How to cancel italki

Lessons on italki are paid for with italki Credits; the subscription is italki Plus, its AI study features. Cancel italki Plus in Settings, then Payment, in your italki account if you paid by card or PayPal, or in your iPhone's settings or Google Play if you subscribed there, at least two days before the next billing period; it runs to the end of the period, with no refund for it. A lesson can be cancelled up to 24 hours before it starts, and its credits go back to your Student Wallet. italki gives no cash refunds for credits.

Cancelling italki Plus

In your italki account (italki Plus paid by card or PayPal)

Log in to your italki account.
Go to Settings, then Payment.
Cancel your italki Plus subscription there.

Cancel at least two days before your next billing period starts. italki Plus keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, and that period is not refunded.

In your iPhone's or iPad's settings (subscribed through Apple)

Open the Settings app.
Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Tap the italki subscription.
Tap Cancel Subscription. If there is no Cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled.

You subscribe to start it and are not charged during it; cancel before it ends, or it turns into a paid monthly or yearly plan.

Cancelling a lesson

Up to 24 hours before it starts, open the lesson page and choose to cancel it, or to change its date and time. A cancelled lesson's credits go back to your Student Wallet (a package lesson goes back to the package); a new time needs your teacher's agreement. Within 24 hours a lesson can't be cancelled or moved, and your teacher is paid in full if you miss it.

Ending a package

Cancel or settle the package's upcoming lessons, then in My Lessons open the package and click Request to Terminate Package. If you are the one stopping, the lessons you took are charged at the teacher's single-lesson price, not the package price. Your teacher has 3 days to answer; with no answer, the package ends as you asked.

After you cancel

italki Plus keeps its benefits until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
italki Credits in your Student Wallet expire if you don't log in for 12 months; expired credits can be reactivated once, if they expired less than 12 months before.

Getting money back

italki Plus: no refund for a billing period you have already paid for.
italki Credits: no cash refunds. Credits come back to your Student Wallet when you cancel a lesson request, or a lesson more than 24 hours ahead, when a teacher declines or doesn't confirm in time, and when a lesson problem you report afterwards is agreed.
The 100% Satisfaction Guarantee: up to two trial lessons refunded in credits if the teacher didn't show up or didn't meet your expectations, if you paid for them yourself (not with a voucher) and contact italki's customer success team within 48 hours of the lesson time.
