How to cancel Bunpro
Cancel Bunpro where you paid. Paid with PayPal: cancel in your PayPal account, or it renews on its own. Paid in the iPhone or Android app: cancel in your iPhone's settings or in Google Play. Paid with a card on bunpro.jp: your plan is managed on Bunpro's subscription page, and its support can stop it for you. Your progress stays if the subscription runs out, and Bunpro's terms let you ask for your money back within 30 days of a yearly or Lifetime plan, or 7 days of a monthly one.
Where did you subscribe?
In your PayPal account (paid with PayPal)
- Log in to PayPal on its website and go to Settings.
- Click Payments.
- Select Subscriptions and saved businesses, or Automatic Payments.
- Select Bunpro, then cancel the automatic payment.
Bunpro's help page says a PayPal subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in your PayPal dashboard, which Bunpro cannot do for you; these are PayPal's steps.
On bunpro.jp (paid with a card)
- Log in at bunpro.jp and open your subscription page, Manage your Bunpro subscription (bunpro.jp/subscribe).
- If you can't stop the renewal there, write to [email protected] from your account's email address and ask Bunpro to cancel it.
Bunpro takes card payments through Stripe and keeps the card on file for renewals; you can delete the card after a payment. It does not publish step-by-step cancel instructions for card subscriptions.
In your iPhone's or iPad's settings (paid in the iPhone app)
- In Settings, tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Bunpro, then Cancel Subscription.
Bunpro's iPhone app sells a month, a year and Lifetime through Apple; these are Apple's steps.
In Google Play (paid in the Android app)
- Open the Play Store app and tap your profile at the top right.
- Go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Bunpro and tap Cancel subscription.
These are Google's steps.
The free trial, Lifetime and taking a break
During the 30-day free trial
Every new account gets Premium free for 30 days with no card, so nothing is charged when it ends: the account switches to Bunpro Free on its own.
Lifetime
Lifetime is one payment, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel; it can still be refunded within 30 days of buying it.
Taking a break instead
Bunpro's staff say your progress stays even if your subscription runs out, and suggest turning on vacation mode (Settings, then General) on the day you stop, so reviews don't pile up while you are away.
After you cancel
- When Premium ends, your account switches to Bunpro Free: the grammar and vocabulary pages and the reading passages stay open, without the reviews.
- Your progress stays in your account, so it is all there if you subscribe again.
Getting money back
- Bunpro's terms let you ask for a refund for any reason within 30 days of buying a yearly or Lifetime plan, and within 7 days of a monthly one; Bunpro may refund later in exceptional circumstances.
- To ask, contact Bunpro ([email protected]).
- Paid in the App Store or Google Play: Apple or Google decides, under its own rules.
